RUCKUS festival proudly supports a range of incredible charities, making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. We have selected organisations supporting local, military, and rugby charities, and your participation in our event directly contributes to their vital work. Together, we’re creating lasting impact and strengthening our communities. Thank you for making this possible.

Star* scheme supports young people and families overcome the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) by engaging with grassroots rugby. Research highlights that building resilience through relationships with trusted adults is key to addressing the impact of ACEs, and grassroots rugby offers an ideal environment for this.

Star* scheme provides the resources and support needed for young people and families to participate, such as kit and transport. It also collaborates with rugby clubs, offering tailored training to ensure adults are prepared to create a supportive space for young people. The programme aims to reduce the effects of ACEs through sport, fostering future leaders in the process.

Junior rugby coaches and officials achieve remarkable results with young people each season. The star* scheme supports clubs in identifying and assisting young people in their communities, particularly those affected by ACEs, poor mental health, or financial hardship. By connecting clubs with local schools and providing funding, training, and guidance, the scheme ensures continued success. It also works closely with families to remove barriers to participation, ensuring children have the essentials – kit, transport, training, and a welcoming environment – to enjoy rugby.

Beneficiaries lie at the heart of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity’s purpose, and they believe it is their duty to remain focused on the beneficiaries’ needs. Since 2007, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity have funded projects and facilities that boost morale for those who serve today. On top of this, they also distribute millions of pounds annually to military charities which care for the children, families and veterans of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.
